Employee classifications allow you to specify the accounting behavior of a group of employees. Employees are part of a classification, and for this reason, it is not necessary to specify the accounting parameters in each employee record.
A classification should not be DESTROYED if it has been used for payroll because the salary statistics will be lost. Furthermore, before destroying a classification, you should ensure that no employee is associated with this classification.
Otherwise, the employee records will become orphans (no more classification) and can no longer be used in payroll.
Instead of destroying a classification, simply rename it by changing the title.
The G/L cash account must be filled in to ensure the proper functioning of the classification at the accounting level.
